Les villages de Tautavel et Vingrau sont lovés au coeur de la vallée de Tautavel, dans le Roussillon au sud de la France. L'origine du nom de Vingrau provient des mots vin (20) et grau (marches). Partant du Pas de l'échelle, ces 20 marches permettaient d'accéder au village tout en traversant le Cirque de Vingrau.
The villages of Tautavel and Vingrau nestle in the
heart of the valley of Tautavel in the Roussillon area of southern France. The
name of the village of Vingrau comes from the words vin (20) and grau
(steps). The 20 steps can still be
seen today on a path leading out of the village through the vineyards.
